Meet Amber

amber palmer Bradley, MD is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist currently working as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine. She is also the medical director for outpatient child and adolescent services at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born and raised in Jackson, MS where she went on to earn her Bachelors’ degree in Biology from Dillard University. She later earned her Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Bradley completed her General Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine where she received multiple awards including The 2013 Teaching award (honorable mention),  Stacia Michelleto scholarship and Gold Humanism award.  She is a published author of the Needs Assessment of Addictions Training in General Psychiatry Residency. Dr. Bradley has also participated in writing a chapter for the book on Childhood Maltreatment and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and an article published in Adolescent Psychiatry regarding The Management of Suicidal Adolescents presenting to the Emergency Department. She currently resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and two young children. She is currently motivated in disseminating information about mental health, parenting and education to moms of color through her community and blog titled Momsonthemind. Her lifelong dream is that her work in the mental health field will further destigmatize and encourage minorities to seek mental health care.
